Philosophy
My mission is to create a fantastic wedding photography experience for your special day, using a mixture of artistic creativity and relaxed documentary styles to capture magical little moments throughout the day.
Years of experience has taught me there should be no single style of wedding photography. Different aspects of your wedding will require different methods of shooting - discrete “reportage” can capture the natural and the spontaneous, meanwhile, carefully crafted “Modern-Classic” styles will showcase the aspects of the wedding that are most precious to you. My aim is to deliver unique and unforgettable photography of your wedding. Get in touch to discover how I can make your wedding day even more special.

Beautifully Crafted Portraits
To achieve unforgettable wedding portraits is to capture the moment. Stunning lighting and well-thought-out composition aside, it’s about capturing the moment, the memories and the emotions that cannot be repeated.
Wedding portraiture is a very personal genre to me, simply because I am photographing a special event that is irreplaceable and precious. I always consider it is as my privilege to be photographing a wedding; to witness and to document the most important day of a couple’s life.
Why Lux Vita?
It’s all about the Emotion and the Storytelling
At Lux Vita, I display 10 years of experience as a professional photographer to document your wedding. I photograph the emotions, the details, the beauty, and the connections. It’s a story driven photography essay of your special day. I am inspired by the uniqueness of every individual and always strive to photograph the natural and the authentic bound between the couple and the people who are most important to them.
It's bespoke
A lot of couples choose me to be their photographer because of the truly bespoke nature of the way I work on their wedding photography. From the pre-wedding session to the wedding day and there is the “Uniquely Yours” bespoke album design. Callie and James sum it up best after I sent them their album design for approval.
“We are so pleased with it. It reminds us of why we picked you over the other photographers! Your work is so unique and we love it.”
2nd Photographers* and the Little Touches.
I worked with my assistant, who has been with me at almost every wedding that I have the privilege to photograph for many years till now. We’ve already established an effective working relationship that we know what we need to do with a simple glance. Moreover, we complement each other by bouncing off ideas and elevate the works we produced.
I truly believe that every wedding are precious and I prepared few things that make your wedding memories even more special. These including the photo covered into a USB drive, where the selected digital images are stored and the very popular guest's sign frame that you can hang on your wall, and then there are the mini books, little keepsakes that can be gifted to your bridesmaids and groomsmen. Other options including personalised “thank you cards” and the parent albums.
*The Mayfair and Windsor packages only, optional for The Eton package
"Uniquely Yours" bespoke designed albumsA lot of couples choose me after they've seen the bespoke designed album I have done for other weddings. Not only do they like the photography, they are impressed with the way I personally design a unique album that is just for them. I do not use ready-made templates (like most of the photographers do) or use an album maker's design service, who will know nothing about you and was not at the wedding. Nor do I just simply drop the images into the album like layering bricks. The way I work is to provide a real personal touch where I design the album based on what I know about the couple and the story and experience of the wedding day. The result is a touching and deeply unique album that you can treasure forever. |
Its an investment
For a lot of people, wedding photography might seem to be an expensive or unnecessary expense within their wedding plan. I, on the other hand, don't think that's the case; there is no second chance to capturing your wedding day, what has happened will be gone forever and never experienced again. Think about the hugs you will have with your parents soon after the ceremony, the beautiful wedding cake at your wedding breakfast or the stunning venue where you will speak your vows to each other. These are the precious moments and treasured details that you would like to have preserved for you and maybe generations to come. I understand that every wedding is different. Just let me know what your budget is and what you are planning. I would be very happy to tailor my wedding photography service just for you. Alternatively, you can select one of my carefully designed wedding packages to suit your needs.

Capturing Precious Memories
As a photographer, I am always watching, always forming ideas in my mind of what I can do to make that unique moment last. To quote my personal hero, Henri Cartier-Bresson, who arguably is the god father of the modern photography movement:
"Photography is to place head, heart and eye along the same line of sight. It’s a way of life"
For me, photography truly is a way of life, one phrase I always have in my head when I see something interesting is, “That will make a great photo”. I understand how much those significant moments mean to the couple and it is my duty and privilege to catch them and make them last forever.
Pre-wedding sessionIts important that you'll be comfortable with me photographing you at your wedding - arguably the most important day of your life. I always meet the couple for a pre-wedding session a month before the wedding day. This will give me an opportunity to disscuss whats important to you and the details of your wedding plans. We will work togther on how to pose for the photographs and I'll give you a few little hints and tips to help me capture the best of you on the day. It is important aspect of the process, and from my experience, the couple always benefits from having a studio shoot with me. The photographs from the engagement session will be yours to keep and if you choose to do so; you can incorporate them into the design of your main wedding album. |
Guests signed frame
There are lots of ways for you to remember the well wishes from family members and the guests at your wedding. For most people, they choose to have a guests book which works really well but it will most likely end up in a drawer never to be seen again. However, If you are looking for something different and meaningful; why not choose a signature frame. Its a wall mountable photo frame that is made to have a large border with a small aperture to accommodate a photo; it can be designed into any size and format you desire. The idea is for the wedding guests to sign and write their messages on the border at the day of your wedding. You can then choose the image you want for the photo aperture after the wedding, I will then assemble the frame with the chosen photograph and deliver this fantastic memento of your special day to you. Hang it on the wall of your sitting room or bedroom; a perfect way to keep the memories alive.

Its A Celebration
Celebration is a big part of a wedding. Families and friends come together on the wedding day to witness the union of two people and to celebrate this wonderful occasion.
For me, the celebration is not just the party that goes on into the small hours, it’s about people getting together to share the joy and happiness of this beautiful event. It could be releasing confetti, drinking at the reception after the ceremony, the speeches and of course, the first dance. For these occasions, I like to be a fly on the wall and just documenting the wedding celebration as much as possible.
Treasured Details
Are you planning a wedding? It’s no doubt one of the most personal events in your life. To plan a wedding is to incorporate details and ideas that are close to your heart. These precious details show who you are, your personality and aspects of your life that are important to you. It is important for a wedding photographer to showcase those details and retain them for you to treasure in years to come.
