Church wedding and celebration and Elm Tree pub in Beech hill
All wedding is about the emotions, the family and friends who come together to celebrate the special occasion. Hannah and Rob’s wedding day starts like most of the weddings I have been photographing over the years. Hannah’s bridle preparation is in the family home, and Rob is getting ready with the groomsmen at their own home, followed by a church ceremony then the celebration, so far sounds very conventional you might think but closer look into the detail of the wedding, you would see that it is a wedding with a difference. First of all, their wedding transport is a performance Ford Focus with blue ribbon and balloons, arriving at the church with a lot of crack and bangs. Then there is the musical performance from the family members in the church. The celebration is rounded up in Elm Tree pub, a local gastro pub serving fantastic food.
As soon as I hear about the wedding plan, I know I want to put a bit of twist on the wedding photography. Something a bit more fun, a bit out there and at the same time, there are elements that can be describe as conventional. Its about mixing different style of photography to best capture the special day.
Hannah and Rob's "Uniquely Your" album.
Album size: 16 x 12 inches (12 x 32 when open), cover printed on metal panel, finished with genuine leather in blue
From what I saw at the wedding and what I know about Hannah and Rob, I decided to use some bold and unusual design elements for the album, repeated images that layout like pop art, using multiple images to layer images together to create depth and make the image really stand out.
I knew the conventional design of one photo next to the other is not going to cut it for this wedding image. The result is a uniquely designed album that was only for Hannah and Rob.
