Wedding at The Elephant Pangbourn and celebrations at Beale Park
It was a cloudy start of the day and there was a very slight drizzle in the air, I could just see the sun trying to penetrate through the thick clouds and I could really feel the humidity and the heat in the air. Some might argue that this wasn’t the best weather to start the wedding but I could just feel that this was going to be a really fun and interesting wedding, not only because it was Cathy and Sam's wedding but that I would have the chance to photograph in the Beale park without any visitors around. The location doesn’t usually host weddings. Both me and my assistant, Oliver was really looking forward to be photographing a place as unique and exclusive as Beale Park.
The wedding started with morning preparations at The Elephant in Pangbourne, then, Sam was getting ready with the groomsman at their home in Theal. We had champagne coloured VW camper van for transportation and some fantastic photos in and out of the van, especially with Cathy and her chief bridesmaid.
We had the chance to photograph the newly wedded in the Beale Park before the chef started serving up a stunning hog-roast. That was 8 hours in the making. I and Oliver will always remember this wedding, not only because the Hog-roast was beautifully tender and tasty, but mostly because of Cathy and Sam, and the unbelievably stunning Beale Park.
