Wedding at The Elephant Pangbourn and celebrations at Beale Park
It was a cloudy starts of the day and there is a very slight drizzle in the air, I can just see the sun trying to penetrate though the thick clouds and I can really feel the humidity and the heat in the air. Some might argue that this isn’t the best weather to start the wedding but I can just feel that this is going to be a really fun and interesting wedding, not only because it Cathy and Sam's wedding. I will have the chance to photograph in the Beale park without any visitors around. A location don’t usually host weddings. Both me and my assistant Oliver are really looking forward to be photographing a place as unique and exclusive as Beale Park.
The wedding starts with morning preparations at The Elephant in Pangbourn then Sam is getting ready with the grooms man at their home in Theal. We have champagne coloured VW camper van for transportation and fantastic photo in and out of the van. Especially with Cathy and her chief bridesmaid.
We had the chance to photograph the newlyweds in the Beale Park before the chef serving up a stunning hog-roast that was 8 hours in the making. Myself and Oliver will always remember this wedding, not only because of the Hog-roast was beautifully tender and tasty, mostly because Cathy and Sam, and the beautiful locations.
Cathy and Sam's "Uniquely Your" album.
My inspiration for the design for the album is based on the fun and a little informal nature of Cathy and Sam’s wedding. The day starts in The Elephant hotel in Pangbourn and I can immediately tell this isn’t going to be your big dress and super fancy shoes wedding. Cathy’s dress is a short skirts and she is wearing special Convers trainers, as all the other bridesmaids. Truly fitting to their active lifestyle.
Vibrant colour and bold geometric design detail is used to emphasis this as a different kind of wedding.
