Wedding at Goring Village Hall
It was a real privilege to be the photographer for Jo and James' wedding. They are my first transgender couple and their story is very different from most people. I can really feel the love between them and it really showed in the photographs. Goring Village Hall is in the beautiful village of Goring and with the spacious ground next to the village hall, I was able to use the beautiful country village as background and make some wonderful images for the couple. Jo and James organised a very personal and very intimate wedding ceremony with a celebrant hosting the proceedings.
The proceedings included passing the wedding rings between guests for their blessing and they tied the knot with an actual tying-the-knot ceremony. The rest of the day was very relaxed and people enjoy the day by getting to know each other and enjoying the food. The first dance was a lovely touching moment with both of them dancing to slow music with all the families and friends looking on commenting just how lovely they are together, definitely one of the highlights of the day. I enjoyed photographing the day very much and the result is some very memorable photographs. Jo and James were so happy with the images and even more delighted with the bespoke album I designed for them.
Jo and James' "Uniquely Your" album.
