Wedding at Voco | Oxford Thames

I really enjoy photographing weddings in autumn or early spring. I love the weather and the season's colour; everything feels more romantic and the air feels crisper. It all adds something extra to the photography. Helen and Jim's wedding is a beautiful Autumn wedding in every sense of the word, including the decorations, flowers and display on the table.

I was able to spend more time on photography because all activities of this wedding happen at the venue. Both Helen and Jim loved photography and enjoyed the photo session with me in different locations despite the occasional light shower and slightly colder temperatures. The leaves are turning brown and the light is diffused, perfect condition for portraits. The result speaks for itself, the images are stunning, especially with Helen in her absolutely gorgeous wedding dress.

When the evening rolls on, the photography starts to get more interesting and creative. This particular season of the year means the daytime is much shorter, creative methods are required and a couple of my powerful portable lighting and modifier are with me. We worked on some dramatic images that I wouldn't normally be able to do at Summer weddings.

Helen and Jim were very happy with the result and the albums I designed for them, overall, a very rewarding experience.
